Cardinal Newman School is a Catholic middle and high school whose mission is to provide an academically rigorous Christian education to young men and women from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. We challenge our students to embrace truth, pursue academic excellence, act with integrity, lead courageously, work for justice, and engage in generous service. We are a community where every student is known, the dignity of all is appreciated, and apparent and potential gifts are developed in mind, body, and spirit.

My dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Grace and peace to each of you especially in this current climate struck with fear driven by unknown realities. As we continue to monitor COVID-19 and respond as a Catholic community, I wanted to provide you with a quick update from my home office in Charleston. I, too, am practicing social distancing! You may watch my update here.
In addition, I have asked that we start livestreaming from the Chapel of the Holy Family at the Pastoral Center in Charleston. Some of our seminarians have arrived here after the closure of their seminaries and will participate in the daily liturgies. The schedule of daily and weekend Masses, and other devotions, is as follows:
- Daily Mass, Monday through Saturday at 8:30 a.m.
- Stations of the Cross, Fridays at 3:00 p.m.
- Sunday Mass with Bishop Robert E. Guglielmone at 11:00 a.m. (English)
- Misa en español los domingos a la 12:30 p.m. (Mass in Spanish)Spanish Mass is also available on the diocesan Spanish radio station, Sundays at 11:00 a.m. at radiorevive.com.
Additional information on livestreams and online devotions from our parishes is available on the diocesan website, charlestondiocese.org/covid-19-response.
Please know that each of our priests in this diocese is offering daily Mass for each of you and the challenges we continue to face as a community of faith. I offer my abundant and sincere prayers for the safety and wellbeing of you and your families. May God bless and keep you.
In the Lord’s Peace,
Most Reverend Robert E. Guglielmone
Bishop of Charleston
